The Robot Gypsy and the Mermaid Paladin
A robot gypsy sails over a sea of strife,
Through hot and cold he enjoys his life.
The programming of this wondering machine,
allows the mind to be full of dreams.
With all the legends of love and truth,
this one has set out to find the proof.
New treasures await on distant shores,
Occasionally passengers come aboard:
From Angles to pirates, and ravers and thieves;
Turtles and tigers, and wondrous beings.
Some leave with a smile, some come with a curse,
Some creatures improve things, and some make it worse.
But this robot gypsy often travel alone,
Not content to stay and wait at home.
So between 2 shores is where he resides,
Watching the horizon for visible guides.
He spots a new traveler who is also at sea,
One who flows like the water, completely free.
A mermaid that has an adventurous style,
with a gracious heart, and beautiful smile.
After crusades and tragedy with love and sin,
Now she has returned as a mermaid paladin.
The two meet and explore some open terrain,
Until the robot has feelings he cannot explain.
Her intelligent thoughts and sensual features,
Are only half the qualities of this enchanted creature.
The mermaid knows of the magic she holds,
and declares that there will be nothing more to unfold.
At that she turns around and swims halfway,
Saying that as friends is the only way to play.
The robot jumps in to the water with a spark.
Then sinks to the bottom and glows in the dark.
Circuits buzz, and an electrical storm,
As the robot wishes he could transform.
While sitting on the floor grinding his gears,
Seeking some support, the red turtle appears.
He climbs aboard, and floats through the blue,
And thinks of his actions that need some review.
For mermaids and robots could swim side by side,
Their difference in styles instead make them collide.
It’s time to set sail, and stop trying to swim.
And let go of the enchantment from a mermaid paladin.
