The Whole Being Weekend has been a life changing experience for many past participants over its 45 year history. Those past participants are now the volunteers that produce this weekend for you. Imagine a community where the social norm is acceptance, living and sharing our open hearts, engaging in eye contact and hugs, and sharing the wisdom of knowledge empowered to opening our whole selves.
The weekend programs, and our community, are designed to facilitate sharing connection, heart based love and appreciation for all beings.
This life changing experience is finding a group of Beings coming together to live this way for a special Weekend and throughout the year.
This Years Theme:
Express Yourself
A Whole Being is playful, spontaneous, and creative.
This year we will explore the expressions of our inner-being
through connection, communication, art, dance, touch, poetry, music,
voice, costumes, and authentic silly being.
Let’s Play!
Brief Overview of the Weekends Events
It all starts Friday afternoon when our team of volunteers welcomes you and you settle into your cabin or camping accommodations. During our community dinner presenters will give a brief introduction to themselves and their topics. Soon after our Opening Ceremony will begin and we will be guided through a series of heart-opening connection exercises to relax ourselves into a weekend of Whole Being Expression. We conclude the evening with entertainment in our Dining Hall Bistro. Contact Us if you would like to perform in the Bistro.
Saturday we will have three 90-minute workshops and community sessions. During each session there will be several different workshops and gatherings to join. It can be a challenge to choose between the various workshops offered in the fields of:
- Yoga
- Bodywork
- Nutrition
- Meditation
- Movement
- Ceremony
- Drumming
- Tantra
- Forum
- Play
- Spirituality
- Healing
- Communication
- Energy Medicine
- Art
- Dance
- Music
- Poetry
Throughout the weekend you may take the opportunity to add your touches to our community painting, write a haiku on the haiku wall, and create your own art, a vision board or mask in the well appointed art room, or spontaneously break out in story telling, poetry reading or song.
After the workshops on Saturday and before dinner we will enjoy the tribal connections of a community drum circle lead by percussionist extraordinaire Dan Cartamil.
After dinner there will be connections and costume party before a music concert in the Peace Center featuring Karl Anthony who never fails to bring us together and fill our hearts with happiness. You may also enjoy the sultry and percussive sounds of the mid-East fusion ensemble Middle Earth with their beautiful belly dancer who will also teach us a few belly dancing moves earlier in the day, and close the evening with a puja – ceremony of love – facilitated by Francoise.
Sunday morning we will have one more workshop session before culminating with our extraordinary Closing Ceremony, sharing community together with our open-hearts.
Your registration covers ALL workshops, entertainment, 6 meals and lodging (or camping). We look forward to welcoming you1
